Drop Scones are also known as Scotch pancakes, pancakes or griddle cakes. Drop Scones owe their name to the traditional method of dropping batter onto a griddle. Made to a similar recipe are crumpets.

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 25g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 pint milk
